Vocento reaches a strategic agreement with Viacom that will strengthen its presence in the audiovisual market

Madrid, 25 June 2009.- Vocento has reached a strategic agreement with the entertainment content company Viacom (a worldwide producer of channels such as MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Comedy, VH1, Comedy Central and Spike) which will help it compete in the Spanish audiovisual market and will make it one of the main players in both television and in content production.

The agreement will allow Vocento, from September, to reinforce its regional television business, which will include in the schedule of its DTT channels high quality content, in addition to the regional news and information content that the Group is supplying from its leading brands across Spain. The potential audience of the stations that will benefit from the content is 24.7 million viewers.

Vocento has both regional and local Digital Terrestrial Television licenses, some of which are not yet operational, and it is the only Group with a presence in the the main advertising markets of Spain: Madrid, Andalusia, the region of Valencia and Barcelona, and other major markets such as the Basque Country, Murcia, La Rioja and Asturias.
