Joaquín Valencia von Korff, Chief Financial Officer of Vocento

Madrid, 7 June 2013.- Joaquín Valencia von Korff (born in Madrid in 1962) has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Vocento. He holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from ICADE-3 and an Executive MBA from IESE. He is married with three children.

Valencia started his career in 1986 at Chase Manhattan Bank as an analyst in the Corporate Finance division and in 1989 he joined JP Morgan Madrid, first as an Associate and then as a VP in investment banking and capital markets. From 1997, in London and then in Madrid, he worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions department for Spanish and European companies. In 2002 he was appointed Managing Director and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for Spain and Portugal.

Since 2009 he has been a founding partner at 3angle Capital, which provides financial advice to companies investing in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. 

Joaquín Valencia has extensive experience of different business models and financial structures and has worked in multidisciplinary and international teams. He has worked at a senior level with Spanish financial institutions and has a deep understanding of
national and international financial markets. His appointment at Vocento reinforces the company's goal of improving its operating and financial efficiency and strengthens its leadership of the media sector in Spain.
