El Norte de Castilla
Vocento is proud to own the oldest newspaper in Spain. Founded in 1854, and part of the Group since 1994, EL NORTE DE CASTILLA, after over one hundred and fifty years, remains a solid leader in Castilla y León. Its levels of readership and circulation, are 22 percent and 19 percent respectively, according to EGM* and OJD** data. EL NORTE DE CASTILLA has become a leading institution in the region, thanks to its high quality journalism that is close to readers. It has a wide range of editions and journalists, in Valladolid, Palencia, Zamora and Segovia. The recent launches of the leisure and weekend supplement, GPS, and the cultural supplement La Sombra del Ciprés, have completed its offer of supplements, which includes Deporte Base, Tierra de Sabor, and Dinero y Empleo. The newspaper is moving forward with its multimedia strateggy, with a local portal and a radio station.
