Mr. Claudio Aguirre Pemán,
Chairman and Founding Partner of Altamar Capital Privado, S.G.E.C.R., S.A. Between 1980 and 1986 he worked for The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., becoming head of the Investment Banking Division in Spain and Director General of the Chase division in Spain. Between 1986 and 1994, he was Managing Director of Investment Banking for Spain and Portugal at Goldman Sachs, London. Between 1994 and 2000 he was the Chairman of Merrill Lynch for Spain and Portugal (after the acquisition of main Equity Firm FG Inversiones Bursátiles, S.A.). Between 1999 and 2000, he was head of the Private Banking Division for Europe, Middle East and Africa, head of the global Private Wealth Management Division of Merrill Lynch International Bank Ltd. (London) and member of the Global Executive Committee for Private Banking (New York). Between 2001 and 2003, he headed the Investment Banking Division for Europe and was joint head of the Global Industries & Communications Division, member of the Global Executive Committee for Investment Banking (New York), member of the Executive Committee of Merrill Lynch in Europe, and Chief Executive Officer of Merrill Lynch International. Since January 2004, he went back to Spain to found Altamar Capital Privado, S.G.E.C.R., S.A., of which he is the Chairman.
