“La Verdad“ was born on 1st March 1903. It is the largest newspaper in Murcia and it also has a strong presence in Albacete. It joined Grupo Correo in 1988.
It currently has readership and circulation market shares of 56% and 53%, according to figures of the OJD.
La Verdad has seven editions, which are: Murcia, Alicante, Albacete, Cartagena, Lorca, Elche and Orihuela.
It has traditionally been printed in the newspaper's presses in Murcia, but from January 2007 this was transferred to a plant that Vocento has built in Elche in conjunction with Prensa Ibérica.
